Robbie L. Kirby passed this life on November 16, 2025, at her assisted living residence in Huntsville, Texas. Robbie had been living in Huntsville since moving there in 2017 to be near her daughter.
Formerly of Jackson, Tennessee, Robbie was born on April 25, 1938, in Beech Bluff, Tennessee, to Abbie Cochran Bridges and Otha Bridges. Robbie grew up in Chester County and graduated from Chester County High School in 1957. Robbie married Wells H. Kirby, Jr., and began a 40+ year career in banking. She worked for the National Bank of Commerce and later served as a branch manager for First Tennessee Bank. After retiring, she served as a church secretary at North Jackson Church of Christ, where she taught children's Bible Class, served in VBS and on the Visitation Team, and participated in two mission trips to Ukraine. She was active in the Credit Professionals of Jackson, the Exchange Club, and the Chamber of Commerce. After moving to Huntsville, she was a member of the Fish Hatchery Road Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wells H. Kirby, Jr., her grandson, Tyler Kirby, and a sister, Patsy Bridges Garrison.
She is survived by her son, Randal Kirby of Jackson, Tennessee; a daughter, Janet Kirby Logan and husband, Scott, of Huntsville, Texas; and a sister, Lottie Bridges Lovelace and husband, Hal, of Plant City, Florida. Three grandchildren also survive her: Logan Kirby, Kinsey Dulaney, and her husband Jon; Kirby Logan and his wife Taryn; and five+ great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Arrington Funeral Directors, 148 W University Pkwy, Jackson, TN, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 12:00-2:00 pm, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Chester County Memory Gardens in Henderson, Tennessee.
