BONNIETA L. SCOLLON
1942 - 2025

Bonnieta Scollon (nee: Cone); Age 83 of Rochester, Michigan

On the morning of August 6, 2025, Bonnieta "Bonnie" Cone Scollon's spirit grew too big for her body and departed for a better place. The night before, she spent precious moments with her loving husband, Leo "Lee" Scollon, devoted son Erik, and compassionate daughter Wendy. Bonnie chose to wait until her son was in town before passing, wanting one last night surrounded by her family. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones, including her grandchildren, Evan and Allee, whom she cherished and spoiled more than anyone else. She also enjoyed the company of her sons-in-law, Keith (Wendy) and Adam (Erik), especially during vacations at the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes.

A lover of knowledge, Bonnie often showcased her intellect while watching Jeopardy, frequently answering questions that stumped the contestants. In her younger years, she embraced adventure, working in Germany where she met her husband and even jumping out of an airplane. Later, she settled into a fulfilling career as an elementary school teacher, followed by roles as a computer analyst and instructor in computer software. In retirement, she devoted herself to caring for her grandchildren and indulging them endlessly. She also found joy in water aerobics and taking walks in nature.

Bonnie's life will be celebrated on October 18, 2025, at WestWynd Golf Course. In her honor, you are encouraged to wear her favorite colors, turquoise and purple.

In lieu of flowers, please consider taking a walk in nature-preferably with a dog-or donating to your local no-kill animal shelter.
