BOOKER C. KIDD Sr., born on September 22, 1939, peacefully passed away on December 24, 2024. He lived a life rich in passion and interests, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Booker was a man of many talents and interests. He was an avid fisherman, spending countless hours by the water, appreciating the tranquility it brought him. His affinity for the casino provided him with excitement and entertainment, while his love for soul food defined many family gatherings. His culinary favorites included fish and chicken, and he would delight in sharing these meals with those close to him.
A devoted sports enthusiast, Booker enjoyed watching football and boxing, immersing himself in the thrill of the game and the heart-pounding tension of a good match. He also had a fondness for westerns, relishing in the stories that captured the classic American spirit.
Professionally, Booker was proud to work as armed security, and retired as a machine operator. where he exemplified commitment and professionalism. His service in this role was marked by a dedication to keeping others safe, a reflection of his caring nature and sense of responsibility.
Booker’s forthcoming viewing will take place on January 3, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. His funeral service will follow on January 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at New Covenant Christian Fellowship, situated at 2025 West Wheatland Road, Dallas, TX 75232.
