Boyd Lewis Brown was born October 9, 1933 in Monroe, Utah to Boyd E. Brown and Rita Susan Jones Brown.
He departed this earthly existence on December 27, 2025 surrounded by his wife Lola May and his stepson Lane Paxton and a supporting group of grandsons. He undoubtedly was met with a wonderful homecoming on his arrival through the veil.
Boyd graduated from high school in Monroe and promptly went off to Brigham Young University. Before he could start his third year at BYU, he was drafted into the Army. He went for Fort Ord, California for basic training and then was shipped off to Germany.He married Carlene Sylvester when he came home from Germany. They had a son Russell. There were later divorced.
In 1960 he married Geneil Williams. Geneil came with a special gift, a young boy Steven Stroud who blessed Boyd as his son. They then were blessed with a little girl, Cynthia. Geneil died in 2000 of polycystic kidney disease.
In May 2001, Boyd married Lola May Paxton. He was told many times how fortunate he was to have captured the hearts of two beautiful women.
Boyd was preceded in death by his son Russell (Mary), stepson Lance Paxton (Gayle), sisters Barbara, Beth and Venice.
His survivors include his wife, Lola May Brown; Steven (Kathy) Stroud, Cindy Hazen; five granddaughters, Brittany (Eric) Cooper, Rochelle (Bret) Arave, Aubrey and Bobbi Lou, Molly Brown; one grandson Lewis Brown; one stepson Lane (Joni) Paxton; and six step grandsons, Carter (Fran) Paxton, Dalton (Kelsie) Paxton, Hayden Paxton, Marshall Paxton, Logan Paxton and Marcus Paxton.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2026 at the Park Meadows Ward, 950 North Main, Centerville, Utah where a viewing will be held from 10:15 - 11:45 a.m. prior to services.Interment will follow with military honors at Lakeview Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Dr., Bountiful, Utah.
