Boyd H Clark a wonderful, loving, caring, and compassionate Son, Father, and Grandfather, recently of Cedar Hills, Utah died July 11, 2024 after a lingering illness at age 93.
He was born in St. George, Idaho on September 6, 1930, the son of Homer Knewell Clark and Percie Tippetts. He was married to his high school sweetheart Marlene Vaughn on August 17, 1950 in Ogden, Utah, and the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on February 13, 1964.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and 4 of his 5 sisters. He is survived by his sister Gloria Thompson, his 4 children – Gregory Boyd Clark (Donna), Darrell Vaughn Clark (Dawn), Julie Roberts (Dan), and Carol Finsterwald (Ref). He has 17 Grandchildren, 35 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great-Grandchildren.
He lived most of his years in Ogden, Utah, and Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was always a hard worker. His vocations included Service Station Owner, Bulk Plant Owner/Operator, Home Builder, Real Estate Agent, and Mechanical Maintenance Employee.
He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many leadership positions including Bishop, High Counselor, and Stake President helping many during his administrations.
He had a great love for the outdoors and played as hard as he worked. He loved his family, boats and Cadillacs!
A family viewing will be held Friday, July 26, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Warenski Funeral Home, located at 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah 84003, during which his oldest daughter Julie Roberts will offer a family prayer. Family graveside service will be held on Saturday morning, July 27, 2024 at 10:00 am in the Ogden City Cemetery.
