With keen sense of humor and a generous spirit, he was not only a protector of his family but also a hardworking individual who never hesitated to lend a helping hand to others in need.

A lover of music, BJ had a special fondness for The Dave Matthews Band, which often accompanied his film-watching adventures. He found joy in fishing and was a devoted fan of Auburn University, frequently seen wearing his white Auburn baseball cap, a symbol of his unwavering support for his team.

BJ is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Patti Everhart; his grandparents, Wayne and Sara Everhart, and Aubrey and Mary Lee Cochran.

BJ's legacy continues through his surviving family, who will carry forward his memory with love and remembrance. He is survived by his father, Boyd and stepmother Phyllis; his stepfather, Mike Johnson; sisters Leeann (Liz) and Stacy (Damon); and step-brother Chris (Dixie).
