Brad W. Campbell, age 42, of Ashland, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on March 23, 1982, in Menomonee Falls, WI, Brad was the cherished son of Mark and Sharon (Thiel) Campbell.
A proud graduate of Ashland High School, Brad went on to earn a degree in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. For 16 years, he ran his own successful construction company, earning respect and admiration for his work ethic and dedication.
Brad's life was profoundly marked by his deep love for Jessica L. Zifko, whom he met on the first day of middle school. They married on July 7, 2007, in Ashland, WI, and shared 17 years of marriage, having been together for a total of 27 years. Their enduring bond was a testament to their deep, unwavering devotion.
A man of strong faith, Brad dedicated himself to his community through his volunteer work with the Ashland Youth Hockey Association and the Ashland Little League. His passion for the outdoors shone through in his love for hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, shooting trap, camping, and boating. Yet, his greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends, often cooking and making cherished memories.
Brad's legacy is one of strength, kindness, and a profound commitment to both his loved ones and his community. He will be remembered as a truly inspirational figure whose spirit and impact resonated deeply with those around him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jessica L. Campbell; their sons, Cole J. and Mason P. Campbell; his parents, Mark and Sharon Campbell; his brother, Scott (Kelly Garro) Campbell; his sister, Erin (Niles) Fetter; his father and mother-in-law, Rick and Maggie Vandevoorde; sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws Amanda and Brian Wilmot, Abby and Gavin Neibauer; Cameron Zifko; Grace Zifko; Derec Zifko; Kirstin and Anthony Montemayor; and numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. And many others who were blessed to know him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ronald and Jane Thiel and John and Beverly Campbell.
A private family memorial service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024. A celebration of Brad's life will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 3:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. at the Gathering Barn, 50467 State Hwy 13, Ashland.
