Brad Sternberg Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 15, 2025.
Brad Scott Sternberg passed away on October 13th, 2025. Brad was born on August 23rd, 1988, in Englewood, NJ, the son of Eric and Madeline Sternberg.
Brad is survived by his wife, Katie, of the home, and their three children, Ellington, Ellary, and Endy - the lights of his life. Brad was a devoted and loving father who found his greatest joy in spending time with his kids, cheering them on in everything they did, and making sure they always knew how deeply they were loved. He was also a loyal husband, son, brother, and friend, known for his humor, kindness, and the way he made everyone around him feel valued.
Brad's life was defined by purpose and compassion. As a teacher of the deaf, he was deeply committed to his students and to making communication accessible for all. His work was more than a career - it was a calling. He poured his heart into helping others be seen, heard, and understood, and his impact will continue to be felt in the lives of those he taught and inspired.
His surviving parents are Eric and Madeline Sternberg of Sarasota, FL, and mother-in-law, Sue Coon of Trenton, MO. Brad is also survived by his sister, Amanda Pearce, and her husband Brendan of Sarasota, FL; nephews, Parker Pearce, Chase Hayes, Brody Hayes, and Zeb Wilson; niece, Paiton Brewer; and sisters-in-law, Dawn Hayes, Casey Stiles, and Lindsey Wendt.
Brad was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Jerry Coon, and grandparents, Irene and Paul Kessler and Judith and Maurice Sternberg.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00 am at Thomas Funeral Home in Unionville. Visitation will be 1 hour prior, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.
