Retired Petty Officer First Class Bradey Scott Jackson, age 50, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in
Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Bradey was born on May 1, 1975, in
Dalhart, Texas, and proudly served 20 years in the United States Navy, retiring as a Petty Officer First Class. His years of service shaped much of who he was-disciplined, loyal, and always ready to help someone else without hesitation.
After and during his naval career, Bradey spent as much time as possible on the water, which was where he felt most at peace. He loved boating so deeply that he and his wife Kristin lived aboard a boat together for three years, fully embracing the salt-life dream. His passion for aviation carried on well beyond his military service, and it remained a lifelong fascination.
Bradey also had a deep love for music, happily playing any instrument he could get his hands on. More than anything, he was known for his dedication to helping anyone and everyone around him, often putting others before himself.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Kristin Jackson, and their three children:
Phoebe Sue May Marie (20), Pyper Don May Melody (18), and Braven Wayne Joseph Lee Jackson (16).
Bradey is also survived by his mother, Dirindia Kelly; his brothers, Cory Jackson and Jeff (Robin) Jackson; his uncles, Wally Jackson and Jack Jackson; his sister-in-law, Cherilyn, and brother-in-law, Christopher Garry, of Pennsylvania; cousins Sid, Jeremy, Bill, katie, Jim; and by many beloved nieces and nephews including Mae, Heaven (Dylan) Adams, great nephew Royce and Caiden, great niece Cai'onna, Halena, Jaylynn, Eve, Oasis, Diana, and Deborah.
A visitation and funeral service will be held for Bradey in the near future at Altmeyer Funeral Home. The date will be announced here as it becomes known.
