Bradford Williams Blakeley passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, in Hyannis, Massachusetts, at the age of 73. Brad was a lifelong adventurer and will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, kind heart, and adventurous nature.
Born on December 14, 1951, in Boston, Massachusetts, Brad was the son of the late Gerald Williams Blakeley Jr. and Anne Whitcomb. He graduated from Bowdoin College and pursued a successful career in real estate and development.
Outside of his professional life, Brad was full of life and always on the move. He had a deep love for the ocean, and found peace and happiness on the water, especially when boating and sailing along the Cape-a place that held his heart above all others.
Brad had a unique gift for making people feel welcomed, seen, and valued-his presence was both calming and energizing, and his laughter could fill a room. Brad embraced each day with energy and enthusiasm.
He is survived by his four children: Elizabeth, Chase, Cerrin, and Cameron, and a proud grandfather to Maxwell, Weston, and Blakeley Rose. He is also remembered by his siblings Jerry, Whit, Geoff, and Amanda.
His family will be holding a private gathering later this summer at the Cape, his favorite place in the world, where he will be laid to rest. He was cremated, and his ashes will be spread upon the ocean-his first love and eternal home.
Brad's memory will live on in the waves he loved, the family he cherished, and the lives he touched.
