Bradford Scott Dennie, age 61, of Gloversville, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 1, 1963, in Edgemere, NY, the son of Warren and Ingeburg (Meyering) Dennie.
At the time of his passing, Brad was the President of Warden Leathers, Incorporated. He was a member of the Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market, Pine Tree Rifle Club and the YMCA.
Brad is survived by his fiancée, Brenda Achzet of Gloversville; two children, Skyler Dennie and Chase Burton Dennie of Sunderland, MA; two brothers, Trevor Dennie (Amy) of Madison, WI and Todd Dennie of Berlin, Germany; a sister, Ellen G. Beausang (Alex) of Matthews, NC; two nephews, Soren and Tate Dennie; two nieces, Reese and Isabella Beausang; four cousins, Carol, Eden, Stacia and Karl; his devoted cat, Ghost and many cherished friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Lance Dennie.
Brad graduated from Gloversville High School in 1981, earned a bachelor's degree from SUNY Plattsburgh and an information technology degree from the state of Utah.
As an outdoor enthusiast, he was an accomplished athlete. Brad was a gifted snowboarder, water skier and swimmer.
His fondest memories were of spending summers, at the family camp, on Canada Lake and attending Grateful Dead and Phish concerts.
In addition to his passion for music, Brad was a great cook and enjoyed really good food.
He had a kind, generous soul, eager to help those in need.
Brad was also known for his love of animals, helping many stray cats in the neighborhood find homes.
Bradford Scott Dennie will live forever in our hearts.
A private interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville, followed by a Celebration of Life, at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Fulton County Regional SPCA, Inc., PO Box 1274, Gloversville, NY 12078.

I only knew Brad for 3 years when I move in next door in 2021. We got to know each other because he was always helping me with something, even though I didn´t ask him too. He was a beautiful soul with a kind heart. I was very sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to all who loved him and are grieving.

This is the last picture of our core group (minus Brian and John) from Canada Lake. We spent many happy summers together boating (Brad impressed us barefoot water skiing!), playing quarters at the McLellands camp, going to concerts, rocking out to the Talking Heads and generally making unforgettable memories. We will miss Brad greatly but know he is up in heaven with John and Maryann, toasting us. Until we meet again my friend.
