It is with great sadness that the family of Bradford Ward affectionately known as Brad announce his passing on October 30, 2024. He was born on August 7, 1966 in Toledo, Ohio to Dosie and Joann Ward.
Brad was a proud graduate of Edward Drummond Libbey High School, Toledo, Ohio. After completing high school, he enlisted in the US. Marine Corp. He proudly served his country for 10 years commencing an honorable discharge. Ever the dedicated and hard worker, upon returning home he began employment with Arlington Rack and Daimler-Chrysler Jeep Corporation (Perrysburg Plant) where he worked diligently for over 23 years until his passing.
Brad was known for his infectious smile and captivating sense of humor. He will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched. He was a loving father, son, and proud grandfather and friend.
The seeds sown at a young age were ever present in Brad's life. He attended New Light Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Gabriel. Brad proudly served as a junior deacon. He had a love for reading God's word and knew more scripture than the average Bible reader. Studying God's word allowed Brad to know that Jesus Christ was his Lord and Savior.
Brad's selfless spirit was evident in the love he showed by being a caregiver to his father. He never missed preparing meals, and attending doctor appointments with him. Moreover, there was no task more important than caring for him. Along with spending time with family, Brad enjoyed the company of his friends at the Blue Gill Fishing Club and Wesley's. He enjoyed watching sports and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. He was known for challenging friends to a game of dominos; knowing he was a master of the game. His competitive nature was always on full display. In addition, Brad was a music enthusiast, from gospel, jazz, R&B, and the blues.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joann; son, Bradford Jr; brother, Steven; paternal grandparents L.V. and Velma Glenn, maternal grandparent Willie Lee and his favorite uncle, Bill Wayne.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Dosie, son, Aaron (Samantha) of Atlanta, GA, son Eddie Ward of San Antonio Texas; brother, Michael (Rachel) of San Antonio, Texas, grandchildren, Cooper and Chase, grandmother Mary Alice Wayne of Orlando, Florida, lifelong special friends, Lorenzo Buckingham, Ted Jobe and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
