Bradley Dalling

1944 - 2024

Bradley Eric Dalling, 79, passed away March 5,2024 in his home in Rexburg, Idaho. Born June 18, 1944, to Keith Wardell Dalling and Emma Juanita Frederiksen, He spent his early years in Idaho Falls. His mother and father divorced when Brad was 5 and his mother later married Jimmie P. Burke when Brad was 11 years old. He graduated from Idaho Falls High School, Most Valuable football player, earning a scholarship to BYU where he graduated. He later earned his master's degree from Idaho State. He accepted a job offer at Madison High school after graduation from BYU, where he was assistant football coach and later coached wrestling and track. He eventually coached and taught at South Fremont and Sugar-Salem school districts where he enjoyed coaching many different sports and taught math and biology. The last several years at Sugar-Salem, he was District Tech coordinator. Brad also worked as the Community School Director for Rexburg where he was co-sponsor of the first Rexburg Little League Football program. He also enjoyed working with farmers as an independent crop adjuster for many years.

At Brigham Young University he met his future wife, Susan Hyte from Salt Lake City. They met at freshman orientation at BYU and one year later, on October 11, 1963, they were married in the Idaho Falls Temple. Last year they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Brad and Susan have 7 wonderful children who rallied around them at this difficult time and showed their love and support in so many ways. Brad often said his children supporting each other and all getting along, was one of his greatest joys in life.

Brad and Susan Served 7 missions together. They began serving 15 years ago in Florida Ft. Lauderdale, Kobe Japan, Nauvoo Temple, Halifax Canada, and Idaho Falls Idaho. They served 2 Service missions in Rexburg. Brad said his missions were his way to thank the Lord for all his blessings and also a way to bless and strengthen his family.

Brad was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He never doubted his testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and in a loving Heavenly Father. He served in many leadership positions. He especially enjoyed serving in the Scouts and being with his sons on three 50-mile hikes. He was currently serving as the Ward Temple and Family History leader. Brad spent many hours after he retired working on Family History and keeping his family busy in the Temple doing family names. Brad and Susan served in the Rexburg and Nauvoo Temple, and both cherished that time together.

He is survived by his wife Susan, 7 children, 30 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Children are Eric (Mary) Dalling of Salt Lake City, Tiffiny and (Nikolas)Jenkins of Rigby, Daniele (Greg) McInnes of Rexburg, Shay Dalling of Ucon, Jory (Ana) Dalling of Salt Lake City, Rhet (Tennille) Dalling of Rexburg, and Noelle (Mark) Taylor of Rexburg. He is also survived by a Sister, Paula Tucker and 2 brothers, Don and Jeff. His parents and one brother, Brent, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held under direction of Bishop Sam Stoddard of the North Fork Ward at the Henry's Fork Stake Center at 11 am on Saturday, March 9. Viewing will be Friday, March 8 at 5:30 pm at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg Idaho, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm and from 10 am to 10:45pm at the Henry's Fork Stake Center in Rexburg before the service.
