Dostal, Bradley E. "Odie" entered into rest on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the age of 39 years, 9 months and 23 days. Born Thursday, September 19, 1985, to the late Bob and Jackie Dostal (nee Block) in St. Louis, Missouri. Loving brother of Bryan (the late Rachel) Dostal, Dale (Mandy) Dostal, Stephanie (Will) Wanstreet and Stacey Dostal. Dear uncle of Jaxson, Annie and Leanne. Our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. Bradley, the middle of five kids, was always the goofy, sing-songy, in-front-of-the-camera brother. Growing up, he played Dirty Steve, coined the term "Cody Sniffs," put too much sugar in the Kool-Aid, and cried when he had to get his picture taken. Brad was nicknamed Odie, which caught on to the point that many people didn't know his real name. He was a fun and likeable friend, and he loved his dog, Hank. Odie enjoyed making up songs on the guitar, keeping his shoes spotless, and shooting pool. He had a lifelong love of sports-especially Cardinals baseball and the Pittsburgh Steelers, popsicles and Tiger's Blood snow cones, sleeping in, and opening the last gift on Christmas. Collecting baseball cards and bobbleheads and watching home videos were two of his favorite activities. Odie did not love reading, bad breath, or cold pants. Working wasn't his favorite, but when he did, he worked hard and took pride in doing things right. He was always willing to help and had a caring spirit. His niblings adore their silly Uncle Oat. He played a ruthless copy game (he played a ruthless copy game) and was always willing to let them have a "paco" (popsicle). Odie struggled with his share of personal demons, but he also fought hard to overcome them. Sometimes, his issues took over, but they did not define him, and behind those messes was just an oversized kid with a silly, thoughtful, and kind heart. Odie, we miss you already and love you always. Slicky snotties. Funeral Services: Friday, August 1, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at Fieser Funeral Home. Interment: Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cedar Hill. In lieu of flowers memorials to Places For People at http://www.placesforpeople.org or memorials of donor's choice, donations are appreciated. Memorial visitation Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
