Bradley Walker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home - Sherrodsville on Sep. 26, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Bradley J. Walker, age 64, of Bowerston, Ohio, died Thursday morning, September 25, 2025 in the Aultman Hospital at Canton.

He was born July 1, 1961 in Dennison, Ohio and was the son of Lawrence Glenwood and Betty (Boor) Walker who reside in Bowerston.

Brad enjoyed watching nightly television, primarily Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. An enthusiastic fan of NASCAR, it was ill-advised to try to communicate with him during a televised race. He was also an ardent fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. He placed bird-feeders alongside his windows because he derived great pleasure in watching the birds. And more recently, he liked watching the chickens on his property. Prior to his life-changing injury years ago, Brad was a heavy equipment operator, truck driver, and welder, a skill he tried to pass on to others despite being unable to perform it himself. Also in those earlier years, he was fond of being outdoors, primarily fishing and hunting. He also custom built and ran a dune buggy. He was always willing to share his knowledge and help anyone within his capabilities. One of his primary joys was reveling in the company of his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents Larry and Betty Walker, he is survived by a son, Joshua D. (Companion Shanon Adam) Walker and a daughter Tiffany (Companion Skyler Bonnell) Walker, both of Bowerston, a brother, Steve (Companion Pat McLandsborough) Walker of Sherrodsville, OH, three sisters, Debbie Ellis of Columbus, OH, Mrs. Betty (Bob)Tulak of Uhrichsville, OH, and Sheila Walker-Hall (Companion Mark Gilchrist) of Morgantown, WVA, his grandchildren Mia Walker, Kyra Stanley, Parker Roup, and Colten Walker, and four nephews and two nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 1, 2025 in the Leesville Fellowship Church, 90 East Market St., Leesville with Rev. Jerralyn Myers officiating. Interment will follow in the Leesville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M. in the church. The family would like to express their appreciation and offer a "ThankYou" to the many caregivers who assisted Brad and his family over the years. There are just too many to mention by name, but your immeasurable dedication to Brad's care will always be remembered and appreciated. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville has been entrusted with service arrangements. To leave an online condolence message please visit the funeral home website.
