Brandon "Bubba" Brewster Obituary

Publish in a newspaper

Brandon "Bubba" Brewster, of Glen Ellyn, IL, passed away on August 11, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. He had been surrounded by family and countless friends prior to his passing.

Bubba was born and raised in Wheaton, IL by his parents Robert and Nancy Brewster. He was the younger brother to Dustine (Gus) Estrada and Heather Brewster. Bubba was married 10 years to his loving wife Diana (nee Idzelis) and was the most incredible dad to Eli Joshua, 7, of whom he called "my favorite" every single day. Often referred to simply as "Uncle" by nieces Jessica and Taylor, Bubba was an always present, always fun uncle. Bubba was also an uncle to Evan and Claire, and he enjoyed watching their close bond with Eli.

Bubba attended St Michael's grade school and St Francis high school in Wheaton. He graduated from University of Dayton with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management. He worked in the transportation industry for 27 years, mostly specialized roles including moving, warehousing, hotel and appliance deliveries. He was most recently Vice President of Sterling Transit in Aurora.

To say Bubba was an avid athlete and sports fan is an understatement. Bubba excelled in golf, basketball, baseball, & softball. He followed those sports, along with hockey, football and wrestling more than anyone. His knowledge and interest in athletes, stats and the game was inconceivable.

Bubba was a best friend to many. He was an awesome person with an incredible personality and a huge heart. The friendships Bubba had truly were unique and everlasting, a testament to the kind of person he was. He had a nickname for just about everyone, and they stuck. He really was a legend.

As Bubba would say, "for the love of the game."
