Brandon Arnecke Meharg, 45, was born on September 29, 1979, in San Benito, Texas to Yvonne Arnecke Meharg and John L. Meharg. He went home to his Lord and Savior on May 28, 2025, after a short illness.
He was a graduate of Goliad High School. While in high school, he was a member of the band and golf team. He attended Bee County College and was a graduate of Victoria Welding School. He worked in the oilfield with his last place of employment being The Folley Group in George West where he planned to stay until his retirement.
Brandon married Jane Owings from Beeville and had two daughters, Alice Elizabeth(12) and Katherine Ruth(8).
After their divorce, Brandon found his soulmate Shelly Bitkower. They were making plans for a long and happy future together.
Brandon was a tall man at 6 feet, 3 inches. He loved being with friends and family especially if he could barbecue for the group. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, target practice, and working on his truck or ATV.
Brandon is survived by his children Alice and Katherine, and their mother, his girlfriend Shelly Bitkower, his parents, Yvonne & John Meharg, his sister Brooke Meharg and his nephew Braxton Bueno. His aunts Gail Shahan and Joyce Ladwig and his uncle Ben Meharg. His cousins, Parker (Lisa), Brad (Julie), Sam (Amy), Carole (Arvon), Laura (Bob), Christina (Bernie) and their children.
Brandon is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Elaine Gohlke Arnecke & Eugene B. Arnecke. His paternal grandparents Cula King Meharg and C. Veston Meharg. His uncles Jim Ladwig and Earl Shahan and his aunt Brenda Meharg.
Brandon left this world knowing he was greatly loved and would be greatly missed.
