Brandon Russell Smith, age 33 of Marion, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023. He was born on June 19, 1989 in Marion to Lawrence Russell Smith and Teresa Lynn (Wilson) Mattix.
Brandon enjoyed modifying and tuning cars, and he could spot a fast car before he could hear it. He also had an obsession with and collected brand-name tennis shoes and hats. Brandon believed other people's lives were as precious as his. Whether near or far, his children were always on his mind.
He is survived by his father Larry (Vera Mitchell) Smith; his mother Teresa Mattix; his stepfather Bruce Mattix; his girlfriend Brittany Gibson; his children Mia, Connor, and Marley Smith; his sisters Tesla Sieter, Logan Mattix, and Brooke Mattix; his nephews Beau, Crew, and Jensen; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 3 pm to 6 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. Services will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10 am at the Boyd Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
