Brandon Dean Willis, 39, formerly of Bettie, NC, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at his home in Raleigh, NC.
Brandon’s life will be celebrated by his family at a later date.
Brandon was born on March 19, 1986, in Morehead City, NC, and was a graduate of East Carteret High School. From an early age, he had a natural curiosity about how things worked and a determination to figure them out himself. That curiosity stayed with him throughout his life. Among friends and family, Brandon was known as the person who could fix just about anything he put his hands on. He especially enjoyed working on his cars and had the patience and skill to make things run smoothly again.
Brandon and his father spent many happy hours together tinkering with radio-controlled cars and planes, a hobby that meant the world to him. To his mother, he would always be “Punkadoodle,” a nickname given with affection and one that captured the special bond they shared. Brandon also had a simple appreciation for life’s comforts. He loved a good meal, and if chocolate was involved, it made it even better.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Brittany Willis and her daughter Aubrey Struck of Bettie, NC; parents, Laurie Willis Jr. and Cathy Willis of Bettie, NC; paternal grandmother, Gloria Lamb Willis of Bettie, NC; maternal grandfather, Dr. Michael Blevins of Bettie, NC; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brandon was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Carolyn Blevins and paternal grandfather, Laurie Willis Sr.
