Brenda Bennett Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home - Osceola on Feb. 28, 2026.
Brenda Kay Bennett, the beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and animal-loving soul known to so many, passed away peacefully on, February 26, 2026, surrounded by love.

The Brenda Kay we knew in flesh and heart is no longer with us here on earth, but her spirit rides free. We can picture her now, astride her painted horse named Lightning, galloping joyfully across the open prairie-wind in her hair, smile wide, at peace in the places she loved best.

Brenda Kay lived a full and varied life, earning her living through hard work and dedication in many careers. She built RVs for Cobra, Penz Plastics, worked at Kroger, and crafted musical instruments at Gemeinhardt-each role a testament to her skill, resilience, and willingness to lend a hand wherever needed.

She had an extraordinary heart for those in need. Brenda Kay was one of the first to step up for any soul adult or child who was in need of help or kindness. At her cherished Painted Dreams Farm, she opened her doors and her heart to stray animals, giving them safety, love, and a home. Her compassion extended to people and creatures alike, leaving a trail of gratitude in her wake.

She now joins her ancestors in heaven, her parents Charles and Irene Albertson, our little brother Tom and beloved companions who went before her, including Sandy, their first boxer. So many dear friends from her younger days, the laughter of Harley rides, the thrill of horse rides, the warmth of hay rides, these memories will live on, never undone.

Brenda Kay's greatest earthly love was Harold Bennett, the love of her life since she was a young woman. They shared 65 beautiful years of marriage, a partnership built on devotion, adventure, and unwavering support.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Harold Bennett; her three sons: Tony and (Marcia)Bennett, Todd and (Dorothy)Bennett, and Troy and (Justy)Bennett; her grandchildren: Joel (Courtney) Bennett, Lindsey (Derrick) Schmidt, Danielle and (Jamal) Avington, Ryan and (Libby)Bennett, Nash and (Jessica) Bennett, Gage (Adrianah)Bennett; and many great-grandchildren who were the light of her life years. Also surviving our two brothers Steve Albertson, and Brent (Donna) Albertson

Brenda Kay's legacy is one of love, generosity, and joyful living. She touched countless lives with her quiet strength and open heart. Though she has left this world, the echoes of her laughter, her helping hands, and her prairie rides will remain with all who knew and loved her.

Rest easy, Mom. Ride free across those endless fields. You are forever in our hearts.
