Publish in a newspaper

Brenda K. Bloomfield, Age 73, went to her heavenly home Thursday October 2, 2025 with her family by her side at the Southern Ohio Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. Brenda was born in Vanceburg, Kentucky April 17, 1952 to the late Walter and Goldie Jarrells Pierce.

Brenda, in her earlier years worked for the U.S. Shoe Corporation in Vanceburg for 18 years. She was a graduate of Portsmouth High School Class of 1971. She loved her cats and doing puzzles and coloring on her phone. She and her husband Rick attended the Vanceburg Christian Church.

To know Brenda was to love her. If you crossed her path in your life, consider yourself blessed! She made a difference for so many in this sometimes cruel and painful world. She loved unconditionally and without judgement. She always managed a smile even though her circumstances were hard. She was the strongest woman we knew who endured so much with all her health issues.

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Goldie Pierce, a brother Arthur Ray Pierce, a nephew Ray Pierce, nieces Angela Myers, Nancy Crouse, and Amber Kegley, and her cat White Boy.

She leaves behind her husband of 32 years Rick Bloomfield, a sister and care taker of many years Delena Pack, sister Barbara Kegley, nephews Brian Pack, Eric Kegley, and Cory Pierce. Nieces- Patti Pierce, Kandy Pack, and Shyla Brown. Her other care taker a great niece Brandy Pack, and her beloved dog Bruce and many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Monday October 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gaydos Funeral Home at 159 second street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179 with Pastor Tom Cox Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens in Black Oak, Kentucky.

Pallbearers for Brenda Kay Bloomfield will be Brian Pack, Eric Kegley, Brian Taylor Pack, Canyon Kegley, Phoenix Kegley, Dustin Pack, Steven Frederick, and Michael Rideout.
