Brenda Lee Burke

Brenda Lee Hess Burke, age 60, of Rowe, Virginia passed from her earthly home on Monday December 1, 2025. My battle is over….I have kept the faith. Born February 8, 1965, she was a daughter of the late Dorsie and Beulah Boyd Hess. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of the Rowe Pentecostal Church. A very hard worker, she had been last employed over twenty-three years with Excel Mining Systems.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Coy and Mary Hess, and maternal grandparents, Asbury Boyd and Dora Tiller.

Survivors include her husband of forty-four years plus, Joel Burke; God-sent blessing daughter, Addison "Addie" Burke; brothers, Jimmy Hess and wife, Lisa, Allen Hess and wife, Wanda, Timmy Hess and wife, Donita; sister, Regina Reynolds and husband, Thurman; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ultra Hospice Care Team for the loving care they provided.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Thursday at the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Revs. Brad and Ashlee Cook officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7PM Thursday. Burial will be Friday at the Burke Cemetery, with a funeral procession leaving Rowe Pentecostal Church at 1:30 PM.

Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
