Elexus Kate "Lexy" Coleman

Elexus "Lexy" Kate Coleman, age 21, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia passed away Sunday (November 23, 2025) in Bristol, Tennessee. Born November 16, 2004 in Abingdon, Virginia, she was a daughter of Kierra Lyndsey Sykes Coleman of Cedar Bluff and the late Bradley Ray Coleman. A lifelong resident of the Southwest Virginia area, she was a 2023 graduate of Honaker High School, where she played varsity soccer and was a football and basketball cheerleader. She was an Honors and Full Scholarship recipient to King University in which she was a member of the Dance and Competitive Cheer Team. Lexy was a hard worker, intelligent, vibrant and loved life. Caring and teaching children were her passion, helping her to choose Education as her degree and providing private child care. She had a smile that would light up a room and when she loved, she loved hard. She recently stated "I don't know what I'm destined to do in this life, but I am destined to be a momma and can't wait for that part of my life."

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Sharon Ann Sykes; and paternal grandmother, Linda Coleman.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her brother, Travis Bradley Coleman; paternal grandfather, Douglas Sykes, Sr.; aunts and uncles, Angie and Steve O'Neal, Doug Sykes, Jr. and Tonya, and Janie and David Rasnake; many special cousins, friends, and extended family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Sunday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Josh Vestal officiating. Interment will follow in the Tunnel Hill Cemetery in Honaker, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Travis Coleman, Chase Welch, Zack Carpenter, Caleb O'Neal, Zack Smith, Brad Hart, and Corey Hart.

Honorary pallbearers will be the HHS Senior Class of 2023 and the King Cheer and Dance Team.

The family will receive friends after 5 PM Saturday at Honaker Funeral Home, where a Sharing of Memories Service will be conducted.
