Brenda Gibson, 68, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away August 11, 2025, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
She was born on July 23, 1957, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Aaron Clinton and Reba Maxine (Brown) Henson.
Brenda graduated from Piggott High School in 1976 and she was united in marriage to Melvin Keith Gibson on December 7, 1985. From 1992 until 2020, she operated a daycare, caring for many kids. She was fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed trips to Branson with her family. Her biggest love was her grand babies. She attended Westside Church of Christ for many years and later attended South Thornton Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Terry Henson; and brother, Charles Clinton Henson.
Brenda is survived by her husband Keith Gibson; son, Aaron (Brandy) Gibson; grandchildren: Josie, Clinton, and Parker; sister, Carolyn Henson; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Kason Lawrence officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Chase Hinkle, Chad Emerson, Steven Wofford, Cason Maynard, Caleb Higgins, and Daniel Steen. Ryan Tompkins will serve as honorary pallbearer. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas.
