Deborah Louise "Debbie" Baker departed this life on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. Born on March 10, 1952, in Arbyrd, Missouri, Debbie's journey through life was marked by her dedication to family and her passion for caring for others.
A proud graduate of Piggott High School, class of 1970, Debbie embraced the role of a homemaker during her daughter Tracey Hollis's formative years. As her daughter grew, Debbie returned to her education, earning her certificate as a Certified Nurse's Aide. She devoted over 25 years to the Arkansas Area Agency on Aging, where her compassion and unwavering commitment to others left an indelible mark on the lives she touched.
Debbie was a voracious reader, delighting in historical novels and fiction that transported her to different worlds. She also found joy in watching television, often losing herself in stories that sparked her imagination. As a devout Christian, her faith guided her through both the joys and challenges of life, fostering a spirit of kindness and generosity in all her endeavors.
Debbie is survived by her loving daughter, Tracey (David) Hollis; grandsons, Drew Horton and Jace Horton; great grandson, Jonathan Horton; brothers, Clifton (Vicki) Crain and Mike Crain; sisters, Sherry (Al) Baber and Kathy Turner; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. Her legacy of love and compassion will be cherished by all who knew her. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Helen Crain, and brother, Jerry Crain.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. As we remember Debbie, let us remember her gentle spirit that will be missed but hold on to her love and kindness that will forever remain in our hearts.
