Michael Lynn Howell, 73 years old, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. He was born on Tuesday, June24, 1952, to Arlin Calvin Howell and Lora Fay (nee Conley) Howell in Piggott, Arkansas.He fathered one daughter, Kylie Nicole, who was the light of his life.
Michael spent his younger years in Pollard, but is considered a lifelong resident of Piggott. He graduated Piggott High School in 1970 where he spent his Friday nights as the football mascot. After high school Michael attended Arkansas State University obtaining his bachelor's degreein 1974. He worked for the Department of Human Services for over 25 years with much of his time being in Clay County.
Michael was known for his generosity and his love of helping others. He was kind, respectful, and a good listener. Often, he could be seen walking to his first destination of the day, The Piggott Diner. There he would visit with friends and enjoy his biscuits and gravy and especially Friday's fried potatoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his paternal grandparents Roy and Lorene (nee Broadway) Howell, and his maternal grandparents Doylis and Alma (nee Baker) Conley.
He is survived by his daughter Kylie (Bobby) Reynolds of Paragould, AR; four grandchildren, Jason Wesley Waddell, Jr., Gabriel Lee Waddell, and Katelynn Nicole Waddell all of Paragould, AR, and Desmond Michael Allen of the home. He is also survived by his cousin Deborah Kaye Huggins, who was always there for him and his mother, as well as other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jason Waddell Jr., Gabriel Waddell, Steven Latta, Johnny Latta, Rick Wimberly, and Bobby Reynolds. Honorary pallbearer will be Desmond Allen.
