Brenda Gail Gilbert, 64, of Oxford, Arkansas, passed from this walk of life on Thursday, November 16, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
She was born in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, on April 3, 1959, daughter of the late Bobby Jay Cunningham and Shirley (Wood) Cunningham. Brenda was united in marriage to Terry Gilbert on July 7, 1977, in Oxford, Arkansas, and from this union two sons were born, Brandon and Cameron. Brenda was a member of Oxford United Methodist and Presbyterian Church in Oxford, Arkansas. She loved her family very much, babysitting “little man” was one of her greatest joys. Brenda loved watching her grandkids and as they grew older, she especially enjoyed watching them play sports. She liked listening to music and southern gospel was her favorite.
Brenda is survived by her sons, Brandon Gilbert (Katie) of Oxford, Arkansas and Cameron Gilbert (Sara) of Evening Shade, Arkansas; sister, Denice Russell and husband Jerry of Melbourne, Arkansas and grandchildren, Abbie Gilbert, Grace Gilbert, and Olivia Gilbert.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Gilbert; father, Bobby Jay Cunningham and brother, Bobby Cunningham.
Pallbearers include: Jeffery Russell, Jackson Russell, Jeremy Russell, Jody Russell, Acy Beebe and Denton Reiley.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Doty Family Funeral Chapel in Salem, Arkansas at 2:00 PM with Bro. Bobby Coleman officiating. Burial will follow services at Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Arkansas. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:00 PM.
