Brenda Kay Guess
Brenda Guess, 72, of Boling passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025, at her residence. She was born on November 4, 1952, in East Bernard, Texas to the late Charlie and Ervalee McKinzie White.
Brenda was raised in Glen Flora, Wharton and the El Campo areas, she graduated from El Campo High School. Brenda married Donald L. Guess on November 19, 1983, in Iago, Texas. She worked in the medical field as an insurance billing agent. She loved to go shopping, watch and spoil her grandchildren, was an avid reader, loved BBQ gatherings with the family and was Jose Altuve’s biggest fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jeanette Nicholson and brothers, Charles White and Larry White.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Donnie Guess, daughters, Hope Hippel of Sugar Land and Holly Hopkins and husband, Michael of Richmond, sons, William Guess, of Houston and Shawn Guess of Austin, sisters, Sherry Townsend and husband, Woody of Wharton and Linda Fortenberry of Wharton, brother, Johnny White and wife, Linda of Alvin, grandchildren, Dean Hippel, Van Hippel, Abbie Hopkins, Emmie Hopkins, and Sadie Hopkins, and her dog, Gunner.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
