Brenda Mae (Price) Harrison, age 74 of Marytown, WV, went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2025, at Princeton, after battling heart disease and other health problems.
Born November 17, 1950 in Marytown she was the daughter of the late Luther and Ruby Green Chaffins. She was a lifelong resident of McDowell County and retired from the McDowell County Board of Education with 30 years of service. She attended the Ark of Safety Church until illnesses prevented her from going. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Price; two brothers, David Chaffins and Brady Chaffins; two sisters, Faye Kelly and Rita Franklin; and a nephew, David Keith Chaffins.
Survivors include her husband, James Harrison of the home; one son, Joe Price and wife Allie of Iaeger; two stepdaughters, Beth Gianato of Pipestem and Jayne Burks of Carswell; one granddaughter whom she adored, Kelsey (Johnny) Culbertson of Big Sandy; one great granddaughter, Gracie Jo Culbertson; four step grandchildren, Lori(Phillip) Lowe of Bristol, Va, Krystle (Shawn) Burdette of Pipestem, Jeremy (Meagan) Burks of Carswell, and Sarah (Lee) Beggs of Rock; three brothers, John Chafins of Princeton, Fred (Judy) Chaffins, of Marytown, and Darrell (Joyce) Chaffins of Pipestem; five step grandchildren, Lexi, Austin, Abigail, Holly, Bentlee, and Brynleigh; and many nieces and nephews whom she adored with all her heart.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 3, 2025 at 11 o'clock with Reverend Danny Blackburn officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
Friends may visit with the family Sunday evening, November 2, 2025 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV.
