Brenda Lee Hollway
Brenda Lee Hollway (nee Desiderio), was born in Philadelphia, PA to Sperandio Desiderio and Alice Cox on May 27, 1945. Brenda
passed away on October 18, 2025. Brenda was the devoted wife of Harvey J. Hollway Sr who passed away in 2001. She is survived by her children Harvey J. Hollway, Jr. (Valerie), Diana L. Hollway & Sherri L. Riddell (Eric). She was also loving Nanny to Joseph Viola (Linda), Brian Hollway, Brandon Hollway, Sklyer Viola, Leah Riddell & Jacob Riddell & GG to Landon, Lainey, Mason & Paxton. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother Joseph Desiderio (Hellin), her brother Robert Rowe (Marsha) and sister Patricia Rowe.
Brenda was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was also a great listener and always stressed the importance of sharing a smile. Brenda was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She believed in a life of service and dedicated her life giving back to her community. She believed in empowering women. She was a former President of the National Organization of Women, Former Mayor & Councilwoman of Somerdale, NJ & Former Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 86 Commander & Vice Commander. She was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Brenda was a woman of strong faith and she instilled in us the importance of God, family, hard work and service. She was a true
role model who we loved and always admired.
The Hollway family will receive friends on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 9am to 11am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 201 N.
Warwick Road, Magnolia, NJ. The funeral service will follow at 11am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Magnolia, NJ 08049.
