Brenda Sharon Jones, 85, of Eufaula, formerly of Hugo, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025. Brenda was born on October 20, 1940, in Plainview, Texas, the daughter of Marvin Ob and Billie Irene (McAlvain) Reed. She was married to David Lee Jones for 55 years. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2013. Sharon worked as a sales associate for the Baptist Bookstore. Sharon and David were pastor and wife of Woods Baptist Church in Choctaw, Oklahoma for about twenty-one years.
Sharon is survived by her son, Joseph Jones of Oklahoma City; daughter Sherri Tate and husband Bob of Longtown; brother Marvin Eddie Reed and wife Bonnie of Soper; grandchildren John Ward and wife Denise of Oklahoma City, Heath Tate and wife April of Owasso, Buddy Tate and wife Amber of Yukon and Seth Tate and wife Kortini of Owasso; great grandchildren Cheyenne Ward, Sophia Ward, Hayden Ward, Olivia Ward, Lucas Ward and Jackson Ward and nephews Dustin Reed and wife Gina, Charlie Reed and Mike Reed. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother and sister in law Mike and Betty Reed.
