Brenda Kay Kniffen

Brenda Kay Kniffen, 68, of Elgin, Kansas, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, in Sedan, Kansas.
Brenda was born February 3, 1957, in Stockton, California, to Kathryn Lavoy (Rogers) and Hervie Utah Prince. As a child, her family moved to Hector, Arkansas, where she graduated high school with the Class of 1977. Brenda later moved to Caney, Kansas, and worked at various jobs, including Good News, Spears Manufacturing in Caney, and Walmart in Independence, Kansas.
Brenda met the love of her life, Bernard "Stephen" Kniffen, in 1994, while they both worked together at Western Publishing. The love birds eventually tied the knot on November 12, 2015, in Sedan, Kansas.
Brenda's hobbies included embroidery, quilting, arts and crafts. She especially enjoyed quilting with the ladies of her beloved Methodist Church in Elgin, Kansas.
She was a happy, loving, and caring housewife. Brenda loved her grandbabies. They were her whole world. She especially enjoyed taking her granddaughter Elisabeth to church.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Stephen; two children, Katie Kniffen and fiance Dakoda, and Scottie Pruitt and wife Megan; a sister, Belinda Dillard and husband Lee; a brother, Hervie Joe Prince and wife Nina; and eight grandchildren, Lacey, Brianna, Hopelynn, Elisabeth, Diann, Kristie, Josephine, and Brexley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kathryn and Hervie Prince.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in Hector, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Carter Davis and Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel, 113 S.
