Dean Edward Haberly, 77, of Dewey, went to be with the Lord and Sandy on the beautiful morning of Friday, November 28, 2025.

Dean was born to Dean Eugene and Lola Alvaretta (Edwards) Haberly on February 9, 1948, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He grew up on the west side of Bartlesville, where he attended school and The Boys and Girls Club. He attended Virginia Avenue Baptist Church and met Sandy while working in the grocery store. He attended College High, where he graduated in 1966.

Dean and Sandy married on April 20, 1968. He was drafted into the Army on March 11, 1969, and served in the jungles of Vietnam. He was wounded on July 31, 1970, in Vietnam. Upon returning from Vietnam, he worked various jobs and attended and graduated from OSU-IT. He worked for 17 years as a draftsman at the Research Center. After an illness he was able to retire early and enjoy his time with Sandy and his family.

Dean loved to hunt and fish with his children, particularly bass fishing. He loved nothing more than running up and down the Caney River at Hulah in his bass boat. Later in life he and Sandy loved building their hot rods and attending car shows.

Dean will be greatly missed by all who knew him and his family. The family finds comfort and strength knowing that he is healed from his illness and is once again reunited with Sandy in heaven.

Dean is survived by his son, Matt Haberly and wife Karissa of rural Dewey; daughter, Beth Sanders and husband Justin of rural Bartlesville. He also left behind two grandsons, Trent Haberly and wife Sierra of rural Copan, Taw Sanders of rural Bartlesville; two great-grandsons, Wesley Dean and Henry Gene of rural Copan; his brother, Jim Haberly and wife Judy of rural Bartlesville. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Sandra Haberly, with whom he shared more than 50 years of loving marriage; and his parents, Dean and Lola Haberly.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Dean's name to any of the three organizations listed: The Boys and Girls Club, 401 S. Seminole, Bartlesville, OK 74003; The Journey Home, 900 NE Washington Blvd., Bartlesville, OK 74006; and Comforting Hands Hospice, 1366 SE Washington Blvd #A, Bartlesville, OK 74006.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Dewey Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Kevin Dray officiating.
