Brenda Anne LaBauve Brenda Anne LaBauve, 83, of Charlottesville, passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Peace on Tuesday, February 26, 2013. She was born on February 27, 1929, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Louis Edward LaBauve and Vivia Faye Aycock LaBauve. She was predeceased by a brother, Louis "Buddy" Edward LaBauve. Brenda served in the United States Navy for two years during the Korean War. She worked for many years at Dominion Power in Alexandria, Virginia, and later as a proof-reader for Lexus-Nexus Publishing in Charlottesville. She was a member of Church of the Incarnation. Brenda is survived by her son, Phillip Allen Gallo III and his wife, Christine; her daughter, Kimberly Jo Gallo; two grandchildren, Asa Paige Gallo and Julia Allison Gallo; a brother, Terrell Edward DuCharm; cousins, William Chabreck and his wife, Jean, Breck Chabreck and his wife, Nancy; and sister-in-law, Rosa Luzano LaBauve. Other survivors include her nephew, Lance LaBauve; and nieces, Gloria LaBauve Heigl and Laura LaBauve-Maher. A funeral Mass was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Church of the Incarnation with Father Gregory Kandt officiating. Interment with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013, at Culpeper National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, P.O. Box 937, Verona, VA 24482-0937 or to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174.
