Brenda Elaine Laney, 79, of Pageland, SC passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025 in Monroe, North Carolina while surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 8, 1946 in Charlotte, NC to the late Clayton Sherrin and Ruby Threatt Sherrin.
Brenda was the beloved wife of the late Edward W. Laney. She was the sister to the late Michael and Maxine Sherrin. Her legacy continues through her loving daughters, Michele Clementino and her husband Craig of Monroe, NC and Anita Carnes of Pageland, SC. Brenda's spirit will forever be reflected in the lives of her surviving brother, Jerry Sherrin of Pageland, SC, and her sister, Patsy Langley also of Pageland, SC.
A doting grandmother and great-grandmother, Brenda's joy was multiplied with the births of her grandchildren, Neil Eubanks (Tiffany) and Parker Eubanks (Kayley) and her great-grandchildren, Grayson, Alannah, Cash, and Elliott Eubanks.
Brenda's zest for life was evident in her everyday activities. She had a passion for cooking, often sharing her delicious creations with family and friends. Her love for shopping at thrift stores was more than a hobby; it was an adventure that she embarked on with enthusiasm, always seeking out the next hidden treasure. Brenda's infectious laughter and the joy she found in the simple pleasures of life were a constant reminder to those around her to cherish the moment.
There will be a Celebration of Life Graveside Service on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 2:00PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland with Pastor Shawn Macy officiating.
Friends are welcome to stop by the funeral home 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturday, September 6, 2025 to pay their respects and sign the register book.
Arrangements are entrusted to Baumgartner Funeral Home of Pageland, South Carolina (www.baumgartnerfh.com).
