Brenda Lee Butcher Haddix, 60, a resident of Parsons, passed from this life on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She had been in declining health, but death was unexpected.
Brenda was born Monday, October 11, 1965, in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of Donald Nelson Butcher and the late Monnah Mae Johnson Butcher. On May 11, 2002, in Hambleton, she married William "Willie" Haddix, who survives. They had celebrated twenty-three years of marriage.
Left to cherish Brenda's memory are two children, Melissa Lee Haddix and Jessica Ann Haddix, a brother, Donald Dale Butcher and wife, Sandra, of the Pheasant Run Community, a sister, Linda D. Lipscomb and husband, Edward, of Montrose, her fur babies, Barney and Bo, and several nieces and nephews.
Brenda graduated from Tygart Valley High School. She had been employed by the Inter-Mountain and Benbush Tax Service.
Brenda was a homemaker who loved to cook, crochet, and paint. She was also a caregiver to her disabled daughter. Brenda loved her family very much. She was a Baptist by faith.
Visitation will be held at the Hostetler Funeral Home on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 12pm until 2pm, the funeral hour. Rev. James Gilbert will officiate, and interment will follow at Pifer Mountain Cemetery.
