Brenda Briggs Cole Mace, 67, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.
She was born in Catawba County on March 4, 1957 to the late Henry Briggs and Ethel Frisbee Briggs.
Brenda was fiercely devoted to her family. She placed great importance on quality time with them, especially her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. It did her heart good to have regular gatherings with family and friends. Brenda enjoyed cooking and canning. The holidays were a special time to Brenda. She always had a fully decorated home each year. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Cole; and her brother, John Briggs.
She is survived by her husband, David Allen Mace; three children, Stephanie Harklerode (Jamie), Allen Mace, and Jack Mace; four grandchildren, Riley, Logan, Carson, and Baleigh; and one great-grandchild, Isaiah.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Donald Justice officiating.
