Brenda Marks Obituary

Brenda Kay Bowman Marks, age 79, of Springfield, KY, passed away at 4:42 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center in Harrodsburg.

She was born in Rella, Kentucky (Bell County) on October 11, 1945, to the late Paul Lige and Cleta Webb Bowman.

She was of the Baptist faith, a 1964 graduate of Mackville High School and a graduate of St. Catharine College.

Preceding her in death was a brother, Paul W. Bowman on February 11, 2016.

Survivors include a brother, Phillip Bowman of Springfield and four sisters, Mary Sue Lanham of Bardstown, Sharon Pinkston of Mackville, Rhonda Holderman (Lynn) of Perryville and Betty Grigsby (Mike) of Springfield and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 11, at the Peter Cemetery in Mackville with Rev. Nelson Reynolds, officiating.

Serving as pallbearers were Mike Grigsby, Jeff Aicken, Chris Holderman, Reno Boone, Patrick Grigsby and Craig Lanham.

Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
