It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Brenda Minyard "Smith" on November 24,2024 at St. Vincent's main in Birmingham, AL. Mrs. Brenda Minyard "Smith" was born on March 10, 1950 in Alabama.
She was a registered nurse and enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, softball, painting but most of all she enjoyed playing with her grandchildren. Mrs. Minyard was a member of the Locust Fork Baptist church. She is survived by her loving husband Kenneth Minyard, they were happily married 56 years and would have been 57 years on December the 1st 2024. She had 2 children Tracy Robinson (Andy), Kenny Minyard (Amy), and sister Joan Gaddis, grandchildren Zack Robinson (Adriana), Hannah Copeland (Cody), Logan Minyard, Alexis Minyard, and 3 great- grandchildren Kaleb Copeland, Kensleigh Copeland, and Grace Robinson, She also had a very special friend Ginger Roberts. She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Comer and Opal Smith and brother Gary Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 27, 2024 at 1 pm in the Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home chapel, visitation will be Wednesday November 27 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm. Bro. Joe Coin will be officiating.
We will be reconvening at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery around 2:45 pm to 3:00 pm for a Graveside service.
Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
