George Minyard was born on June 12, 1934, to George Washington Minyard and Rose (Willis) Minyard in Ada, Oklahoma. He married Ann (Ponder) Minyard in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 25, 1963. He provided for his family by working as a truck driver. George’s favorite pastime was talking about his trucks and vehicles. If you knew him, you probably heard many of his stories. He loved spending time with his family, watching his great-grandkids play, and rewatching old westerns.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Minyard; children, Rick Minyard and wife Paula of Campbell, Texas, Suzi Rogers and husband Andy of Sulphur Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Lorie Martin of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Cody Minyard and wife Brittney of McKinney, Texas, Whitney Grand-Lienard and husband Jim of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Kalea Crotzer and husband Michael of Caddo Mills, Texas, and nine beautiful great-grandchildren.
George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rose Minyard; and sister, Christine Brown.
