Brenda Nail Obituary
Brenda was born September 4, 1948 in High Point, NC to the late Lina Brackett Cheves and Earl Foster Cheves. She was a Class of 1966 graduate of West Rowan High School and graduated from Rowan Technical College in 1983 with her nursing degree. Brenda worked as a nurse at Rowan Regional Medical Center and retired from Salisbury Urology due to her health. She loved decorating, watching movies, flower arranging, fashion and jewelry.
Brenda was a former member of Milford Hills United Methodist Church. She was a current member of Ebenezer Church in Mt Ulla.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Roy Gusa on September 5, 1997.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Danny Wayne Nail whom she married on August 31, 2002; sons, Jeffrey Scott Ervin (Wendy) of Salisbury, NC, Eric Nail (Anne) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and John Kirk Nail (Jaclyn) of Scottsdale, AZ; daughter, Amy Nail Bennett of Taswell, VA; sister, Cathy Cheves Gusa of Salisbury, NC; beloved granddaughters: Beatrice Nail, Georgia Nail and Brittney Ervin; and nephew, Grayson Gusa.
The family will receive friends 10-11 AM Saturday (Sept 27) in the Fellowship Hall of Ebenezer Church. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the church, officiated by Pastor Mark McRacken. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Ebenezer Church, PO Box 753, Mt Ulla, NC 28125.

Brenda was a co-worker and a very dear and sweet friend. We spent many hours in the parking lot after work talking about everything and we had lots of fun doing aerobics at the YMCA! She loved her family! Praying God will give the family peace and strength during the days ahead.
