Brenda Elaine "Horton" Needham

Brenda Elaine Horton Needham was so much more than the average woman. She carried a groovy, bright, beautiful soul, a deep love for music, and a heart as pure as they come. Brenda embodied what it meant to love like Jesus - selflessly, faithfully, and without measure. She was a virtuous woman whose worth was far above rubies. She opened her mouth with wisdom, and the law of kindness was always on her tongue. Her children rise up and call her blessed, and her husband also.

She was the family's prayer warrior and steadfast backbone, a woman of unwavering faith who covered her loved ones in prayer and encouragement. She was tremendously blessed with a large and loving family who cherished her deeply.

Brenda went home to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her loved ones, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 12:20 a.m.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Gaynell Horton; her son, Terry Harrell; her grandson, Noah Harrell; and her granddaughter, Honey Harrell.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Ken Needham; her daughter, Anitra Meachum; and her sons, Brad Harrell and Michael Harrell (DeAnn). Wade Needham, Randall Needham (Gwen), Rachelle Needham. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Levi Turner (Zora), Skyla Pyle (Haley), Colton Meachum (Kassidy), Hunter Harrell, Colbie Harrell (Dustin), Brett Harrell (Daja), Brooklyn Valentine (Will), Sierra Williamson (Jonathan), Jacob Harrell, Caleb Harrell (Anna), and Malia Harrell.

Her beloved dog G2.

She is also survived by her loving sister, Connie Laire; her brothers, Greg Horton, Nathan Horton (Brenda), Bobby Horton, Tony Horton, and Darrell Horton (Diane); along with many great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing she is reunited with her Savior. Her legacy of faith, love, kindness, and devotion to family will live on for generations to come.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Fredonia Cemetery.
