Brenda Sue Price, 72, of Thorsby, went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
Brenda was born on June 15, 1950 to Imogene and Edgar House in Whidbey Island, Washington. In 9th grade, Brenda met the love of her life, Gary Price at Thorsby High School starting a beautiful and lasting love story. She graduated from Thorsby High School in 1968. The following year she and Gary married and remained happily married for 53 years. They were blessed with 2 children, Robin and Brandon Price. Brenda was a stay at home mom for many years. She then became a teller at First Alabama bank which later became Regions Bank where she quickly worked her way up to branch manager. There, she enjoyed forming lasting relationships with her coworkers and customers.
In her retirement years, Brenda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and being involved in her church and the community. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Edgar House; mother, Imogene Langston House Taylor; and brother, John House.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Price; son, Gary Brandon (April) Price; daughter, Robin (David) Hand; sister, Linda (Byron) McDonald; grandchildren, Emily (Michael) Brasher, Jacob and Nathan Hand (Heidi), Kelsey and Will Price, Austin (Casey) Wilhite and Ashtynn Wilhite (Cole); and great-grandchildren, Walker, Milly, and Gatlon Brasher, Maverick Bryant, Drake Hand, and JD Wilhite.
Brenda leaves behind a beautiful legacy! She was a devoted, loving, and selfless wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandma, and friend. She displayed the image of Christ to everyone she met. Her love for her family was immeasurable. Her love for and devotion to her Savior was overwhelmingly evident in the way she lived her life and has been passed down to her children and grandchildren. She will always be with us in our hearts and the many beautiful memories that we hold dear.
Services will be held at Pates Chapel Baptist Church on Friday, December 9 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be from 1-2. Graveside service to follow.
