It is with extreme heartache that we regretfully declare the passing of Brenda Ann Rabbitt, who left this earthly life to be with Jesus, on the morning of December 13, 2024, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Brenda was born June 23, 1938, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She married Owen James Rabbitt Jr. in 1966 and they were together until his passing in 2019.
Brenda spent her early years dancing, singing, and skating, a passion which led her to teach children’s ballet and tap dancing in her adult years. As a military wife, she decided to enter the workforce by way of child daycare. Her loving and caring instinct made her a natural.
Brenda finally settled in Fort Pierce, Florida, where her husband, Owen, retired from the United States Coast Guard. Brenda and Owen were active members of Abundant Life Ministries in Stuart, Florida and Northside Worship Center in Fort Pierce, Florida. Brenda enjoyed giving back and participated in various charity functions, fundraisers, and community organizations throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter R. and Audrey J. Heuer; her beloved husband, Owen J. Rabbitt Jr., daughters Leslie Ann Rabbitt Felix and Donna Lee Rabbitt and sisters, Bobbie June Heuer Fasic and Bettie Cecile Heuer Hebert.
Brenda is survived by her two sons, Terry G. Rabbitt of San Diego, California, and Raymond J. Rabbitt of Valdosta, Georgia. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
2041 SW Bayshore Blvd, Port Saint Lucie, FL 34984
