Brenda Seglem Obituary
Brenda Seglem, nee Smith 3/23/1958-1/6/2024
Brenda is survived by her children Daniel Pasko and Deanna Seglem, brother Brian Smith, grandchildren
Elliot Pasko, Madison Pasko and Maisyn Pasko, nephew Brandon Smith and niece Kailee Smith. She was
preceded in death by her father Edward Smith, mother Margaret Handford (Rappaport), brother Brent
Smith and son Jason Pasko.
Brenda devoted her life to the world of animal rescue for over 40 years through adoption, foster,
transport, and fundraising. Countless animals passed through her home and her heart. Brenda also
fought vehemently for dialysis ethics throughout her life.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 14th from 1-6 pm at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home, 9568 Belmont
Ave, Franklin Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Paws & Affect Animal Rescue and
Dialysis Ethics.
