Angier; Brenda Marie Smith, born on December 17, 1945, in Harnett County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on October 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 17 at 2:00PM at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats. Burial will follow at Devotional Gardens in Dunn. The Rev. Jerome Pope will be officiating the service.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, from 1:00PM to 1:45PM at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats.
Brenda shared 60 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Michael Smith together they created a loving family, including their daughters, Debbie Smith and Nani Smith-Arke. Her heart was filled with pride for her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and countless cherished memories.
Brenda was the beloved sister of James Walton Wiggins, as well as Mary Forrest, Helen Strickland, and Leola Lloyd. She always maintained close connections with her siblings, and her love for her family extended beyond her immediate household.
Known for her warm personality and gentle touch, Brenda found joy in simple pleasures, particularly cross stitching her creative outlet was a testament to her patient nature and her ability to weave love into each stitch, resulting in beautiful handcrafted pieces that her family will treasure forever.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Wiggins and Hazel Ruffin Wiggins, her daughter, Miki Smith, her brother, Joseph Eugene Wiggins and her sister, Betty Neighbors. Brenda's legacy lives on through her family, who will carry her memory in their hearts.
As we celebrate the life of Brenda Marie Smith, let us remember her love, creativity, and the enduring bond of family she cherished so dearly.
