Brenda Salyers Snow, age 61, of
Chesapeake, VA died on October 28, 2025 at her home with her husband Richard Snow and her brother Dale Fouse at her side.
Brenda was born in Harrisburg, PA, on September 15, 1964. She was the daughter of George M. and Lillian McGee Fouse, both of Leechburg, PA. A 1982 graduate of Leechburg High School and Lenape Vocational Tech, she was employed for 20 years as a mechanical designer, then pursued a career in nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse for the last 18 years.
Brenda married Richard Mansfield Snow of
Chesapeake, VA on February 14, 2025. They were married in Winchester, VA., with her brother Dale Fouse in attendance. At the time of her death, she was employed as a registered nurse at the Davita Dialysis Center in Portsmouth, VA.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, George and Lillian McGee Fouse, her sister Neta Kay Nelson, her sister-in-law Rebecca Fouse, her nephew Aubrey Fouse, and her late husband Bobby Lee Salyers.
Brenda is survived by her beloved husband, Richard M. Snow of Chesapeake VA, two brothers, Andy D. Fouse of Leechburg, PA and Dale E. Fouse of Hampton, VA; her son, the light of her life, Robert A. (Bryttnei) Salyers of Ashland, KY, her daughter Alexis (Tanner) Hale, and two stepdaughters, Crystal Salyers and Laura Moore; eight grandchildren, Austin Salyers, Jayson (Machaela) Moore, Rachel Salyers, Tori Blevins, Tyler and Paris Moore, Terrence Salyers and Oliver Gochenouer; three great-grandchildren Liam and Amara Hale, and Weston Moore; and one bonus daughter, Maddie Johnson, who never failed to send a card or text on Mother's Day.
A private celebration of Brenda's life will be held to honor her memory at a later date. The family requested that memorial gifts be made by donating to Brenda's local PBS station or to the TMC Funding for PBS in her memory at
