Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Wayne Strickland, her parents, Robert and Edna Sutton; sister, Shelba Bearden; brother Buck Sutton; and her brother-in-law, Chris Martin.
Brenda was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church. Diet Coke was one of her favorite things, but her grandchildren were her absolute pride and joy.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Dana Dunsmore and Gator Long, and Devan Strickland; son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Amy Strickland; sister, Rhonda Martin; brother and sister-in-law, Randall and Sherry Sutton; grandchildren, Covan Dunsmore, Keirsten (Collin) Burriss, Cole (Holland) Dunsmore, Durgan Martin, Makennah Martin, Baylee Allen, Madison "Mazey" Strickland, Alex Gibson, Gracie Battles, and Cole Steelman; great grandchildren, Ayden, Bubba, Aubrey, Brenleigh, Tinley, Gauge, Gracie, and Archie (on the way); Nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 3:00 PM with Rev. Timothy Cheatham officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
