Brenda was a resident of the Mount Olive area. She had been employed for over 30 years with Chick-Fil-A, at locations in Greensboro, Charlotte, and Raleigh, with over 30 years at the Oleander Drive location in Wilmington.
She leaves behind her sister, Carol Thompson Brock and companion, Eric Lorom, of the Beautancus community, Mount Olive; nieces, Ashley Matthews, Page Varnell and husband, Martin, April Parrish and husband, Gene, along with their families; nephew, Alan Brock and wife, Jesi Knowles-Brock; great-nephews, Gabriel Matthews, Brennon Knowles and Logan Brock; along with many friends co-workers, and Chick-Fil-A diners.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Thompson and Ethel Padgett Thompson; and a brother, Willard "June Bug" Thompson and his wife, Sandra.
Brenda's family will mourn her passing while they celebrate her life in a private setting.
