Mrs. Brenda Wimpee, age 81, of Franklin, KY, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green, KY.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 2:30 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. The funeral service will be held the same day, Saturday, May 25, 2025 at 2:30 PM with burial to follow in Old Liberty Cemetery in Alvaton, KY.
Brenda was born on April 30, 1944 in Simpson County, KY to the late Hubert Hesson and the late Christine (Dobbs) Hesson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Delbert “Joe” Wimpee; four sisters, Nina Hesson, Mary Mitchell, Linda Daniels, and Lorene Finn; six Brothers, Billy Hesson, James Hesson, Junior Hesson, Donald Hesson, Kenneth Hesson and Harold Hesson; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Garland and Mary Wimpee.
She is survived by two sisters, Arzella Jent and Kathy Sparks (Kelly) of Franklin, KY; three brothers, Gene Hesson (Gloria) of Franklin, KY, Joe Hesson and Randy Hesson both of Logan County, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Brenda loved to fish, garden, and watch NASCAR.
